These terms are the agreement between you and Face Card (“we,” “us”) for your use of facecard.beauty and the reads it produces. Please read them alongside our privacy policy.

Accepting these terms

By using Face Card — creating an account, uploading a photo, or buying a read — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Face Card. By using it, you confirm that you are. Uploads that appear to be of a minor are screened out automatically, and accounts used by minors will be closed.

The service

Face Card analyses photos of your face using AI and returns an editorial read — your color season, skin profile, style direction, and related guidance — presented as boards and share cards. What you receive depends on the read you buy. Reads are visible only to you; the service does not publish your results or offer public sharing links.

Your account

We sign you in with a magic link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that inbox secure, and for activity that happens under your account.

Photos you upload

You keep ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading, you confirm that the photo is of yourself, that you are 18 or older, and that you have the right to submit it. You grant us a limited licence to store and process your photos — including sending them to our AI provider — so we can generate your read, keep it available to you, and let you run a fresh read without re-uploading. This licence lasts while your photos are in your collection and ends when they are deleted. We do not use your photos to train AI models.

The reads you receive

The analyses, boards, and share cards we generate are yours to keep and use for your own personal purposes. The Face Card name, wordmark, design, software, and the underlying methods remain ours. Each read is one considered pass over one set of photos; if you want a fresh read with new photos, a redo is available.

Acceptable use

• · Only upload photos of yourself. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent.
• · Do not upload photos of anyone under 18.
• · Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or abusive content.
• · Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.

We may decline or remove uploads, and suspend accounts, that breach these rules.

Payment and refunds

Reads are sold as one-time purchases through Stripe — there is no subscription. Prices are shown before you buy. Because a read is generated and delivered to you as soon as you purchase it, it is generally not refundable once produced. If something goes wrong — a failed generation, a charge you do not recognise, or a genuine problem with your read — email us at hello@facecard.beauty and we will make it right.

AI analysis is guidance, not advice

Face Card produces an aesthetic read generated by AI. It is for personal interest and style guidance only. It is not professional, medical, dermatological, or psychological advice, and it should not be treated as a definitive statement about you or your appearance. AI can be wrong or inconsistent; use the read as a starting point, not a verdict.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any read will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Face Card will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can stop using Face Card at any time and ask us to delete your data. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or the law. If we close your account, these terms continue to apply to your prior use where relevant.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. When we do, we will revise the date above. Continuing to use Face Card after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed before launch], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. This placeholder should be finalised with counsel.
